Google+ rolled out its first major redesign on wednesday.

What’s new?

new profile with much bigger photos.
new chat list that puts your friends front and center
dynamic ribbon of applications on the left.
drag apps up or down to create the order you want
hover over certain apps to reveal a set of quick actions
show or hide apps by moving them in and out of “More”
Full bleed photos and videos
A stream of conversation “cards” that make it easier to scan and join discussions
An activity drawer that highlights the community around your content
always-updated list of invitations from the people in your circles
Quick access to every public and On Air hangout
A rotating billboard of popular hangouts
New Explore page that shows what’s interesting and trending across the network

3D Graphing calculator on Google

Google search graphing functionality now supports 3D plotting.Now just two-variable function on google’s search on desktop and it will graph an animated, interactive, WebGL-powered 3D plot right in your browser.Click anywhere in the graph to rotate it to check out different angles, or scale the view by zooming in or out, or by editing the range in your equation or in the lower-right legend box.

The Go Programming language version 1 released

The Go Programming language version 1 is now available.Go is an open source programming environment that makes it easy to build simple, reliable, and efficient software.Go 1 is now the standard Go runtime on Google App Engine.

Main feature:
Forward compatibility (Code that compiles in Go 1 should, with few exceptions, continue to compile and run throughout the lifetime of that version).

Binary distributions are available for Windows,Linux, FreeBSD and Mac OS X.

Google+ teens

Google+ is now available to teens 13 and over and with new protections for those teens who join. Some of teens features are

Teens see a warning when they share with “Public” or “Extended Circles”.
By default, only the people in teens’ circles can interact with them and their posts.
Teens are muted if a stranger outside their circles joins the hangout.

The new age restrictions will undoubtedly help Google increase its user base.

google shuts down picnik and some other

Google is shutting down some of its services. Shut down product list:

Picnik: on April 19, 2012
download a zip file of your creations through Picnik Takeout or copy them to Google+.

Social Graph API: on April 20, 2012.

Urchin: New Urchin Software licenses will no longer be available after March 2012.

Needlebase: on June 1, 2012.

Google Sky Map: will be open source

Google Message Continuity (GMC): Current GMC customers will be able to use GMC for the duration of their contract.
