Google has released a new search service called Google Flight Search. This new service will help you find and book flights. Included airlines are  Delta, JetBlue, Continental and American and the cities New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas and Minneapolis. Just typed from city and to city in the Google search window to get flight details.

Google buys Motorola Mobility

Search giant google announced that it will buy Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billion. Motorola Mobility is the mobile devices division of Motorola.
“This acquisition will not change our commitment to run Android as an open platform. Motorola will remain a licensee of Android and Android will remain open. We will run Motorola as a separate business.” said google CEO  Page.

Google has announced a new service called Email intervention. Using this service now gmail users can send intervention letters to convince their friends to switch to gmail.

1.Go to Emailintervention  website and Click START THE INTERVENTION button.

2.Sign into your Gmail account and click the grand access button .The system detects which of your friends aren’t using Gmail and lets you select which ones you want to stage an intervention for.

3.Customize your intervention letter or include Google’s intervention video or create your own video and send.

Google has acquires social network company Fridge to boost Google+ Project. Fridge is simple personal networks that anyone can instantly create to share photos, messages, and events with specific friends and groups and more according to Fridge. Fridge is closing its service but user will still be able to download and save the data until Saturday August 20, 2011 at 6pm ET.

Gregor Mendel’s 189th birthday google doodle

Today google celebrates Gregor Mendel’s 189th birthday with a new Google Doodle the peas arranged in the shape of the Google logo on it’s home page..Gregor Johann Mendel (July 20, 1822 – January 6, 1884) was an Austrian Augustinian friar and scientist, who gained posthumous fame as the founder of the new science of genetics for his study of the inheritance of certain traits in pea plants.
