Nicolas Steno’s 374th birthday google doodle

The search giant Google is celebrating the 374th birthday of Nicolas Steno with fossils,various earth bottom layers and a green surface google doodle on its homepage. Nicolas Steno (11 January 1638 – 5 December 1686) was a Danish Catholic cleric and scientist who was a pioneer in both anatomy and geology. By 1659, Steno had decided not to accept a statement as true simply because it was written in a book, but rather to rely on his own research. He is considered the father of geology and stratigraphy.

The search giant Google is celebrating the 84th birthday of Robert Noyce with a stylised electronic chip google doodle on its homepage. Robert Norton Noyce (December 12, 1927 – June 3, 1990), nicknamed “the Mayor of Silicon Valley”, co-founded Fairchild Semiconductor in 1957 and Intel in 1968. He is also credited (along with Jack Kilby) with the invention of the integrated circuit or microchip which fueled the personal computer revolution and gave Silicon Valley its name.
