50th anniversary of first human spaceflight google doodle

Today google celebrates 50th anniversary of first human spaceflight and the new Google Doodle is showing the letters of its logo displaying with a space shuttle being launched when mouseover, and an astronaut. Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin (9 March 1934 – 27 March 1968) was a Soviet pilot and cosmonaut. He was the first human to journey into outer space when his Vostok spacecraft completed an orbit of the Earth on April 12, 1961.

Holi google doodle 2011

Today google celebrates holi and the new Google Doodle is showing the letters of its logo displaying with some colorful background.Holi is a spring religious festival celebrated by Hindus. It is primarily observed in India.Holi is celebrated at the end of the winter season on the last full moon day of the lunar month Phalguna which usually falls in the later part of February or March.
