Pixelitor is a free and open source image editor for Linux, Windows and MacOS. It is a powerful and advanced image editor. it comes with layers, layer masks and text layers support. This image filter rich app has more than 110 image filters and color adjustments options. Some other important features are blending modes, unsharp masking, histograms, clone stamp, smudge, pen tool, rotate, crop, multiple undo, Gaussian blurring and more. It is written in java and released under GNU General Public License v3.0.
Install Pixelitor on Ubuntu Linux
Pixelitor is available as flatpak package from the flathub repository. First you need to install flatpak and flathub on your system and restart after the installation. Now in the terminal software run below Pixelitor flatpak installation command. You can open the terminal app using ctrl+alt+t keys.
flatpak install flathub io.sourceforge.Pixelitor
After the installation start the app using below flatpak command or via the application menu.
flatpak run io.sourceforge.Pixelitor
You can also uninstall Pixelitor using
sudo flatpak uninstall io.sourceforge.Pixelitor
