Wike Wikipedia Reader for Desktop

Wike is a free and open source Wikipedia desktop reader for Linux. It is written in python and released under GNU General Public License v3.0. Using Wike you can access all the Wikipedia content in a native desktop application.In this desktop reader you can bookmark your favorite articles and it supports multiple languages. It also comes with build-in search feature, viewed article history, search text in articles, navigate by article table of contents, copy Wikipedia url to clipboard, open Wikipedia article in external browser and change article font size.

Install Wike Wikipedia Reader on Ubuntu

Wike Wikipedia Reader is available as a flatpak package for Ubuntu Linux. You need to install flatpak and flathub on your Ubuntu first to install wiki. Follow below link for flatpak installation tutorial. After the installation restart your system.

How to install flatpak

Open the terminal application (ctrl+alt+t) and run below Wike Wikipedia Reader flatpak installation command.

flatpak install flathub com.github.hugolabe.Wike

It will install the latest Wike Wikipedia Reader on Ubuntu. After that run below command to run Wike Wikipedia Reader.

flatpak run com.github.hugolabe.Wike
