How to Install Elisa Music Player on Ubuntu

Elisa is a free and open source Qt-based music player for Linux and Windows from kde team. It is released under GNU Library General Public License, version 3. In simple and easy to use music player you can browse music by album, artist or all tracks. Here you can index your music using Baloo indexer. Some other features are playlist support, UPnP DLNA support, build-in search for songs and album. Elisa music player is a default music player for the latest Kubuntu.

Install Elisa music player on Ubuntu:

You can install Elisa music player on Ubuntu by using the default package manager and via flathub. Open the Ubuntu terminal app and run this command.

sudo apt update

Type and enter your Ubuntu password. Then run this Elisa music player installation command. It will install the latest version of Elisa music player on Ubuntu.

sudo apt install elisa

You can run this app using below command in terminal or by clicking the show applications in the Ubuntu Gnome dock and type elisa in the search box and click elisa.

First install setup flatpak and flathub on Ubuntu. Follow below link

How to install flatpak on ubuntu

In your terminal app (ctrl+alt+t) run this flatpak installation command to install Elisa music player.

flatpak install flathub org.kde.elisa

then run below command to start it.

flatpak run org.kde.elisa
