Tabby Terminal Emulator

Tabby is a free and open source terminal emulator for Linux, MacOS and Windows. You can also use as a SSH, Telnet, SFTP and serial client in your system. It comes with full Unicode support, tab support, custom keyboard shortcuts, theming and color schemes, split panes, direct file transfer, integrated encrypted container, plugin support, and many more. It also comes with full PowerShell, WSL, Git-Bash, Cygwin, MSYS2, Cmder and CMD support.

How To Install Tabby on Ubuntu

To install the latest version of Tabby terminal emulator, first download the Tabby Linux in .deb package file format from the above download link and save it on your Downloads folder. Then run below command in your terminal (ctrl+alt+t) application.

Here “tabby-1.0.197-linux-x64.deb” is the downloaded file name. You can change below command based on your file name.

sudo apt install ./Downloads/tabby-1.0.197-linux-x64.deb

After the successful installation of tabby, run below command to start it.

You can also open it from the show apps Ubuntu dock menu.
