Quilter Markdown Editor

Quilter is a free and open source Markdown editor application for Linux. It is a simple and beautiful editor with focus mode, Preview Mode and Sepia Mode. It comes with three color scheme including dark mode, find and replace, full width and half width view types, keyboard shortcuts, build-in markdown cheat sheet, auto save, code highlight, latex math and mermaid js graph support. You can also export your document to PDF and HTML.

Install Quilter Markdown Editor on Ubuntu Linux

Quilter is available as a flatpak package file from remote flathub repository. If you want to install Quilter, then first install flatpak and flathub on your system . Follow below link for the installation tutorial. Restart your system after the installation.

How to install flatpak and flathub

Now open the terminal software (ctrl+alt+t) and run below Quilter flatpak installation command.

flatpak run io.github.lainsce.Quilter

After the installation you can open Quilter via the applications menu or via

flatpak run io.github.lainsce.Quilter

You can also uninstall it via

sudo flatpak uninstall io.github.lainsce.Quilter
