pwall Photo Viewer and Organizer – How to install pwall on Ubuntu

pwall is a free and open source photo viewer and photo organizer for Linux. It converts your photos in a square thumbnail and shows as a photo wall where you can manage your photos. you can view the images by folder wise and it comes with some basic features as open, copy or move photos to another directory, delete, share and change dates in your photos. It also offer a option to search and get GPS data of the image and show on google map. currently it supports only png and jpeg file types. It is still in early stage.

Install pwall photo viewer and organizer on Ubuntu:

pwall photo viewer and organizer available as a deb package file for ubuntu. Using this you can easily install it on your Ubuntu pc. First download the pwall photo viewer and organizer .deb file from the below download link.

Download pwall

Here the downloaded file name is “pwall-1.0-1.deb” and my default download location is Downloads folder. you can change below commands based on your download location and downloaded file name.

Open your Terminal (ctrl+Atl+T) and run the below to navigate to Downloads folder.

cd Downloads

Then run the below command in terminal.

sudo dpkg -i pwall-1.0-1.deb

Then run the below command.

sudo apt-get install -f

After that click the show applications in the Ubuntu Gnome dock and type pwall in the search box and click pwall to open pwall photo viewer and organizer. you can also install it via GDebi package installer.
