Polari is a free and easy to use simple but powerful IRC client for Linux. It comes with predefined irc networks and chat room. You can also add custom network and chat rooms. You can add and change your chat nickname and real name and easily connect and disconnect from chat network. It also shows all connected users with count number and a quick content share feature. It is a GNOME project but you can also use in other desktop environments. You can also connect with password protected IRC networks with Polari.
Install Polari IRC Client on Ubuntu Linux
Polari is available via flatpak from flathub. First you need to install flatpak and flathub on your system and restart it. After that open your terminal command line application (ctrl+alt+t) and run below Polari flatpak command.
flatpak install flathub org.gnome.Polari
You can start Polari with this command.
flatpak run org.gnome.Polari
If you want to uninstall it, then follow below command.
sudo flatpak uninstall org.gnome.Polari
