Choose colors from Computer Screen in Linux with Color Picker

Color Picker is a free and open source desktop color picker application for Linux. Using this Color Picker you can pick any color from your computer screen also it comes with build in color chooser palette with color generator. You can also name and save the picked color for the later work. It is released under GNU General Public License v2.0.

How to Install Color Picker on Ubuntu Linux

Color Picker is available as a flatpak package file from flathub remote. So if you don’t have then first install flatpak and flathub on your system and restart it after the installation.

After that open the terminal software (ctrl+alt+t) and run below Color Picker flatpak install command.

flatpak install flathub nl.hjdskes.gcolor3

It will install the latest Color Picker app on your system. Now open it via this command.

flatpak run nl.hjdskes.gcolor3

Just click the eyedropper icon and pick color from anywhere from your screen. You can also uninstall Color Picker app using this command.

sudo flatpak uninstall nl.hjdskes.gcolor3
