Play Music at Different Speed with Play it Slowly

Play it Slowly is a free and open source audio player for Linux, Windows and MacOS. It is released under GNU General Public License v3.0 and written in Python. Using Play it Slowly you can play any audio file at a different speed or pitch. It is based of gstreamer and it supports mp3, ogg vorbis, midi,flv and more. You can manually change speed, pitch, fine pitch, start and end position. You can also rewind and export the audio as wav file.

Install Play it Slowly on Ubuntu Linux

Play it Slowly is available as a flatpak package for Linux. If you don’t have flatpak and flathub then install flatpak and flathub first and restart your system. After that open the terminal command-line application (ctrl+alt+t) and run below Play it Slowly flatpak command. It will install the latest version of Play it Slowly on your Ubuntu Linux.

flatpak install flathub ch.x29a.playitslowly

After the installation you can run this app via

flatpak run ch.x29a.playitslowly

and uninstall it via below command if you don’t like it.

sudo flatpak run ch.x29a.playitslowly

That’s it.
