How to install Gmusicbrowser Music Player on Ubuntu

Gmusicbrowser is a free and open source Music Player for Linux. It is a simple, easy to use and light weight music player. But it will handle large number of songs easily. Currently it tested with 27,000 songs library. You can customize the windows layout and lock playlist. Some other features are mass tagging and mass renaming, search, customizable labels and plugin support. It supports ogg vorbis, mp3 and flac files.

Install Gmusicbrowser on Ubuntu

Gmusicbrowser is available as a native deb package file for Ubuntu. For the most latest supported version, download Gmusicbrowser from their development channel. And save it on your Downloads folder.

In terminal (ctrl+alt+t) run below commands one by one to install it. Here”gmusicbrowser_1.1.99.1_all.deb” is the downloaded file name. You can change the commands based on your file name.

cd Downloads
sudo dpkg -i gmusicbrowser_1.1.99.1_all.deb
sudo apt install -f
