How to install Giada on Ubuntu – Free DJ Software

Giada is a free open source DJ software for Linux, Windows and MacOS. It is released under open source GNU General Public License version 3+ licence. You can use this Giada as audio loop machine, sequencer, live sampler or drum machine. It is very useful tool for DJs and electronic musicians. It comes with 32 bit multithread support floating point audio engine, VST and MIDI support, built-in wave editor, the action recorder and editor, piano Roll editor,BPM and beat sync. You can use unlimited number keyboard controlled channels and several playback combinations in giada. It supports ALSA, CoreAudio, ASIO, JACK + Transport and DirectSound.

Install Giada DJ Software on Ubuntu:

Giada is available as a AppImage for Ubuntu users.Download the latest Giada linux AppImage file from below download link.

Download Giada

Right click on the downloaded .AppImage file and select Properties.Then go to the Permissions tab and check the Allow executing files as program option. After that Open your terminal and type the below command in the terminal and hit enter.

cd Downloads

Note: Here my default download path is Downloads folder.You can change above command according to your download location.

Then type the below command and press the enter key. Then type your Ubuntu password.

sudo ./Giada-0.15.4-x86_64.AppImage

Note: Here Giada-0.15.4-x86_64.AppImage is my downloaded file name. You can change the below command according to your downloaded file name.
