How to install Endless Sky on Ubuntu – Space Trading and Combat Game

Endless Sky is free and open source sandbox-style space exploration 2D space trading and combat game for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. The game is simple earn money and combat with pirates. You can earn money by trading goods, carrying passengers on your ship, and completing games missions. Using your earned money you can upgrade and buy your ships, attack weapons and ship engines. It is released under the GPL v3 open source license.

Install Endless Sky on Ubuntu:

Endless Sky is available for Ubuntu from Ubuntu software source.To install this game, open your terminal app (Ctrl+Alt+T) and run the below command.

sudo apt update

Then type the Ubuntu password if needed and then run the below command.

sudo apt install endless-sky

This will install the Endless Sky space trading and combat game on your Ubuntu system. click the show applications menu in the Ubuntu Gnome dock and type Endless Sky in the search box and click Endless Sky to open it.

You can also instll Endless Sky with the below PPA. Run the commands one by one to install via PPA.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mzahniser/endless-sky
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt install endless-sky
