HDR Image Processing with Luminance HDR

Luminance HDR is a free and open source HDR Image editing software for Linux. Using this you can manipulate high dynamic range (HDR) images. It supports OpenEXR, Radiance RGBE, Tiff formats: 16bit, 32bit (float) and LogLuv, Raw image formats, PFS native format HDR formats. It is based on Qt5 framework and released under GPL-2.0 License. You can create an HDR file from a set of images of the same scene taken at different exposure setting. It comes with Save,load,Rotate,resize,Tonemap HDR files support.

Install Luminance HDR on Ubuntu

Luminance HDR is available as flatpak and PPA.If you dont have flatpak, then install it via below link.

How to install flatpak and flathub on ubuntu

After the flatpak installation, just restart your system and run below command to install Luminance HDR on Ubuntu system

flatpak install flathub net.sourceforge.qtpfsgui.LuminanceHDR

After that run this command to start Luminance HDR on Ubuntu.

flatpak run net.sourceforge.qtpfsgui.LuminanceHDR

Install Luminance HDR via PPA:

This is unofficial PPA. Open your terminal app and run below commands one by one.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1/apps
sudo apt update
sudo apt install luminance-hdr
