Boxi is a free and open source terminal emulator application for Linux. It is written in Python and released under GNU General Public License v3.0. You can use this terminal with Toolbox. It runs in a separate container from the session and uses different application identifiers when it is run for different containers. It is a simple terminal emulator and an experimental app.
How to Install Boxi Terminal Emulator on Ubuntu Linux
Boxi is available as a flatpak package. First you need to install the latest version of flatpak and flathub on your Linux system and restart your computer after the successful installation. Open the terminal software and run below Boxi flatpak install command.
flatpak install flathub dev.boxi.Boxi
After the installation start boxi using this command.
flatpak run dev.boxi.Boxi
You can also uninstall boxi using below command.
sudo flatpak uninstall dev.boxi.Boxi
