Persepolis is a free and open source Download Manager for Linux, Mac OS, BSD and Windows. It is actually a graphical user interface of popular aria2 multi-protocol & multi-source command-line download utility. Persepolis supports multi segment, scheduling and queuing downloads. You can download videos from Youtube, Vimeo and DailyMotion websites. It is also comes with firefox, chrome, opera and vivaldi browser extensions.
Install Persepolis Download Manager on Ubuntu:
You can directly install the latest version Persepolis Download Manager on Ubuntu via its official PPA. First open your terminal app in Ubuntu. Then type the below command in the terminal and after that enter the enter key.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:persepolis/ppa
Then type your Ubuntu Password and hit enter. During the Persepolis Download Manager PPA addition process, it will ask to confirm the addition. Just press your enter key to add the PPA. Then run the below command in the terminal.
sudo apt update
Then type the below command in the terminal and hit the enter key to install the latest version Persepolis Download Manager on Ubuntu.
sudo apt install persepolis
During the Persepolis Download Manager installation press the Y key and then the enter key to confirm the installation of Persepolis Download Manager on Ubuntu. After the installation of Persepolis Download Manager, click the show applications in the Ubuntu Gnome dock and type Persepolis Download Manager in the search box and click Persepolis Download Manager to open it. For Unity you can search Persepolis Download Manager from Ubuntu dash.
