Trim Online Video without Downloading completely using Plumber Ubuntu

Plumber is a free and open source Media trimmer and cutter software for Linux. Using this you can cut and trim your video and audio, convert video to GIF and take video screenshot. And the interesting part is you don’t need to download the complete online video or audio to cut or trim. You can crop your local and remote media files. It saves video in H.246(MPEG-4 AVC) video and AAC audio format. You can directly cut videos from Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, Arte, Vimeo, Vk, Voot, VuClip, DailyMotion, Yandex, RUTV and many more websites. You can also choose the preferred Frame rate and Resolution during the process. It comes with dark theme support and built-in Youtube browser. It is released under MIT license.

Install Plumber on Ubuntu

Plumber is available as snap package for Ubuntu. Open your system terminal application (ctrl+alt+t) and run this snap install command.

sudo snap install plumber

Enter your Ubuntu user password. That’s it. It will install the latest version of Plumber Media Trimmer Cutter tool on Ubuntu.

You can open it from the above command. Just copy paste the video url and start trimming your video.

Download the latest download engine if prompt.

In the setting page you can configure frame rate and resolution.
