Pix Image Gallery and Viewer Application for Linux

Pix is a free and open source image viewer and image gallery application for Linux. You can open images with other applications, insert image tags, crop, rotate and change the color saturation, contrast, exposure, highlights, shadows and brightness. It is released under GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0. In image gallery view and filter images by folder, tags and gallery view. Some other features are dark mode, auto reload of images, fit previews, option to change the image preview size and image sorting.

How to Install Pix Image Gallery and Viewer on Ubuntu Linux

Pix is available as a flatpak package from the flathub repository. So you need to install flatpak and flathub on your system first. After that restart your system . Now open the terminal command line application (ctrl+alt+t) and run below Pix image viewer flatpak installation command.

flatpak install flathub org.kde.pix

This will install the latest Pix application on your Ubuntu Linux system. Now run below command to open it.

flatpak run org.kde.pix

You can also uninstall it via this command.

sudo flatpak run org.kde.pix
