How to install Dissenter Browser on Ubuntu

Dissenter is a free web browser created by Gab for Windows, Linux and macOS. Gab is a alt-tech social media site. Dissenter web browser is based on popular open source browser Brave with Dissenter extension installed. Using this extension you can comment on any URL and the comment is visible to anyone if they too have the Dissenter extension installed.

Note: Google and Firefox banned the Dissenter extension from their store.

Install Dissenter Browser on Ubuntu

Dissenter Browser is available via native .deb package file from their website. Download Dissenter Browser .deb file from below link and save it on your Downloads folder.

Download Dissenter Browser

Open your terminal software (ctrl+alt+t) and run below commnads one by one. If needed enter your Ubuntu user password during the installation.

cd Downloads
sudo dpkg -i dissenter-browser_1.5.114_amd64.deb

Here “dissenter-browser_1.5.114_amd64.deb” downloaded file name.

sudo apt install -f
