How to install ClipGrab video downloader on ubuntu – YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Dailymotion and more

ClipGrab is a free GPLv3 licensed Open Source tvideo downloader software for Windows, mac and Linux. ClipGrab allows you to download videos from YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Dailymotion and some other websites.You can also convert downloaded videos to MPEG4, MP3, OGG Vorbis, OGG Theora and WMV file formats.

Install ClipGrab video downloader on ubuntu

Open your terminal app in ubuntu. Type the below command and hit the enter key clipGrab’s noobslab PPA to your repo.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/apps

Type your Ubuntu password. Then press the enter key. This will add the ClipGrab Video Downloader’s PPA on your system. Then run the below command.

sudo apt update

After that type the below command and press enter key to install ClipGrab video downloader on Ubuntu.

sudo apt-get install clipgrab

Type Y and press the enter key to confirm the installation. After the successful installation of ClipGrab Video Downloader restart your ubuntu computer. Click the Dash home from unity launcher. And type ClipGrab in the search field. Then click ClipGrab to open it.

The User interface is simple, just search your video or directly download the video via its url.
