PianoCheetah is a free and open source midi sequencer for pop piano and drum for Linux system. Using PianoCheetah, you can play and practice song on piano and drums and notes can be simplified down to 1 note per hand max. It comes with pianoroll notes format, tracks sync to your tempo.
How to Install PianoCheetah on Ubuntu
Download PianoCheetah in native .deb package file from the above download link and save it on your Downloads folder. Open the terminal application and run below PianoCheetah installation command.
sudo apt install ./Downloads/pcheetah_current_amd64.deb
Note: Here “pcheetah_current_amd64.deb” is the downloaded file name. You can change above command based on your downloaded file name.
Install PianoCheetah via Flatpak:
You can also install PianoCheetah via below flatpak install command. First install flatpak and flathub on your system and restart it after the installation.
After that, run below command in the terminal.
flatpak install flathub app.pianocheetah.pianocheetah
And open it using below command.
flatpak run app.pianocheetah.pianocheetah
