How to install Getting Things GNOME ToDo App on Ubuntu

Getting Things GNOME is a free and open source To-Do and personal tasks manager app for Linux. It is specially designed for GNOME desktop environment and inspired by Getting Things Done methodology. It comes with batch tags with color and emblem icon support.Some other important features are show/hide tasks, Searches and saved searches, Natural language parsing, free-form task text editor, Projects, sub-tasks, actionable tasks view mode and more. It is released under GNU General Public License v3.0 and written in python.

 

Install Getting Things GNOME on Ubuntu

Getting Things GNOME To-Do and personal tasks manager app is available as a flatpak package for Ubuntu. You need to install and setup flatpak on system first. Follow the below tutorial to install and setup flatapk and flathub on Ubuntu.

How to install flatpak and flathub on ubuntu

After the installation restart your Ubuntu system. And run this below Getting Things GNOME flatpak installation command.

flatpak install flathub org.gnome.GTG

It will install the latest Getting Things GNOME on Ubuntu. You can start Getting Things GNOME via below command.

flatpak run org.gnome.GTG
