How to install TypeCatcher on Ubuntu – Best Google Web fonts installer for linux

TypeCatcher is a free open source software to install latest google web fonts on your Ubuntu system. Using this you can install all the available google web fonts on your Linux desktop easily. You can also search, browse and preview your favorite google web fonts with adjustable size and text.It is developed by Andrew Starr-Bochicchio and released under GPL v3 license.

Install TypeCatcher Google Web fonts installer on Ubuntu

To install TypeCatcher on your Ubuntu system, run below command in the terminal application (ctrl+alt+t).

sudo apt install typecatcher

Install TypeCatcher via PPA:

Open your terminal app in your Ubuntu system, and add its official PPA to your Ubuntu system. To add run the below command.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:andrewsomething/typecatcher

Type your Ubuntu password and press the enter. Then again press the enter key to confirm the addition. then run the below command in terminal and hit the enter.

sudo apt-get update

Then run the below command to install TypeCatcher google web font installer on Ubuntu.

sudo apt-get install typecatcher

After the installation of TypeCatcher, click the show applications in the Ubuntu Gnome dock and type TypeCatcher the search box and click TypeCatcher to open it.

The available fonts are listed in the left sidebar. Just click it and press the top download button to install it. you can also uninstall it.
