Wikit Desktop Universal Dictionary Software

Wikit is a free and open source dictionary software for Linux, Windows and MacOS. It is written in Rust and released under MIT License. Using Wikit you can translate word for different languages. It also comes with command-line tool support (Wikit CLI), Wikit server and more.

Download Wikit Desktop [Windows, Linux,MacOS]

Install Wikit on Ubuntu Linux

First install the latest version of flatpak and flathub on your system and restart it after the installation. Now in the terminal software run below flatpak Wikit Desktop installation command.

flatpak install flathub com.zhqli.wikit

After the installation you can open it using the show applications menu in the Ubuntu.

And uninstall Wikit Desktop using below command.

sudo flatpak uninstall com.zhqli.wikit

Install Wikit Desktop via AppImage:

Download the latest version of Wikit for Linux from the download link in the .zip file and and extract it. Inside the extracted folder you will file Wikit Desktop AppImage file.

Wikit install

just right click and select properties and enable executable as Program and close that window. Now right click and select Run.

Wikit run

It will open the Wikit Desktop app.
