UPBGE, or Uchronia Project Blender Game Engine, is a free and open source 3D game engine for Linux, Windows, and MacOS. It is a fork of the old Blender Game Engine, allowing users to develop games entirely within Blender. Compared to Blender, UPBGE features cleaner and improved Game Engine (BGE) code, introduces new experimental features, and removes outdated features from Blender. It also incorporates official Blender patches into its codebase to ensure compatibility with the latest Blender application.

How to Install UPBGE on Ubuntu
UPBGE is available as a flatpak package from the remote flathub. If you don’t flatpak and flathub on your system, then first install using below link and restart your system after the installation.
Install flatpak and flathub on Ubuntu
After that open the terminal application (ctrl+alt+t) and run below UPBGE flatpak install command.
flatpak install flathub org.upbge.UPBGE
After the successful installation of UPBGE, you can start it using below command.
flatpak run org.upbge.UPBGE
You can also uninstall UPBGE using below commands.
flatpak uninstall org.upbge.UPBGE

sudo flatpak uninstall org.upbge.UPBGE
