Microsoft announced some new features to SkyDrive website.

New features:

1.All of your photos in SkyDrive across all your albums and folders based on a timeline view.
2.TPhotos are organized into groups by event and time.
3.scroll down to navigate through all the images.
4.quickly navigate by a month name.
5.view all your photos in the filmstrip view, and then watch them in a slide show.
6.2-3x improvement in upload times for photos.
7.Windows Phone full-resolution camera upload.
8.new thumbnails layout for PowerPoint and Word files.

400 million active outlook.com users

Microsoft has announced that more than 400 million active Outlook.com accounts, including 125 million that are accessing email, calendar and contacts on a mobile device using Exchange ActiveSync.Microsoft also said that the company has finished moving its Hotmail.com users over to Outlook.com.And more than 150 petabytes of email data in six weeks.

Microsoft also added two new features

1.MTP send – send mail from different email addresses
2.Deeper integration with SkyDrive.

Windows 7 SP1 automatic update

Microsoft has announced that Windows 7 SP1 will begin rolling out automatically to consumers via Windows Update from march 19.Windows 7 SP1 was previously available on Windows Update but required user action to install and from tomorrow, the installation will be fully automatic with no user action required for those who already have Automatic Update enabled.

This update applies to Windows 7 users that are not managed by a Microsoft management tool such as Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or WSUS Server.

Microsoft Surface Windows 8 Pro to launch Feb 9

Microsoft has now confirmed via a blog post that Microsoft Surface Windows 8 Pro will go on sale February 9 in the US and Canada.Surface Windows 8 Pro pricing starting at $899 and that it will be available in 64 GB and 128 GB models. Both devices include a pen but no keyboard which costs an extra $119 for a type cover or $129 for a touch cover.
