Windows Phone 7.8 SDK is now available for download.What’s new in this windows phone SDK?

Windows Phone 7.8 emulator: This OS image emulates your app running on a 512-MB device running Windows Phone 7.8 (build 8858).
Windows Phone 7.8 256MB emulator: This OS image emulates Windows Phone 7.8 (build 8858) running on a 256-MB device.
If you’re running a Windows Phone SDK 7.1 installation, the update will also download and install the Windows Phone SDK 7.1.1 update onto your machine as part of the update.

60 million Windows 8 licenses sold

Windows Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Financial Officer Tami Reller has announced that 60 million licenses of Windows 8 have been sold to date and it includes both upgrades and sales to OEMs for new devices. And the Windows store has passed the 100 million app download mark in just two months.According to Tami there are more than 1700 certified systems for Windows 8 and Windows RT.

Microsoft shuts down Expression suite

Microsoft has announced that its Expression suite of Web and design-oriented tools (Expression Studio 4 Ultimate and Expression Studio 4 Web Professional) will no longer be sold.User who have previously purchased the software will have their mainstream support end in 2015 and extended support ends on 2020.Expression Design 4 and Expression Web 4 are now available for download at no charge. Technical support will not be available for these free versions.Expression Encoder 4 Pro will be available for purchase through 2013. Expression Encoder 4 remains available for
download at no charge.

Microsoft adds DMARC and EV features to Outlook.com

Microsoft has announced two important new security features to outlook.com.
The first one is DMARC, a standard that makes it harder for someone to deliver phishing mail to your inbox.  And the second one is support for Extended Validation Certificates (EV Certificates), which provides a more secure SSL connection when you are using Outlook.com.
