JOSM or Java OpenStreetMap Editor is a free and open source offline map editor for Windows, MacOS and Linux. It is released under open source GNU General Public License v2 or later. Using this you can edit the OSM data (nodes, ways, and relations) and their metadata tags. It supports loading GPX tracks, background imagery, and OSM data from local sources as well as from online sources. You can extend its features via plugins, presets, rules, styles and backgrounds.

Grock is a free and open source maps application for Linux. Using Grock you can view Map and Geological data of united kingdom. It is based on libchamplain and released under GPL-3.0-or-later license. The geological data of UK provided by the British Geological Survey and map data by Mapbox. It is a simple and easy to use UK map application. You can switch between satellite imagery, magnetic anomaly, gravity anomaly, and linear features.

Pure Maps is a free and open source maps and navigation application for Linux. It shows vector and raster maps and provide navigation instructions to the user. It also shows places and routes. You can select maps data from multiple sources. Currently it provides data from Mapbox, OpenStreetMap, HERE, HSL, OpenCycleMap, OpenSlopeMap, OpenTopoMap, Sputnik and Thunderforest Transport. It is released under GNU General Public License v3.0. It is a fork of WhoGo Maps.
