SerialTest is a free and open source serial port tester application for Linux, Windows and Android. It is released under GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0. Currently it supports TCP client, TCP server, serial port, UDP, Bluetooth LE client and Bluetooth SPP client. It comes with data and file transceiver, plotter, controller and more.
Install SerialTest on Ubuntu Linux
SerialTest is available as a flatpak from the remote flathub website. You need to install flatpak on your system and restart it after the installation. Follow below link for flatpak and flathub installation instructions.
How to install flatpak and flathub
After that open your command-line terminal software and run below flatpak SerialTest installation command. It will install the latest version of SerialTest on your system.
flatpak install flathub io.github.wh201906.serialtest
And open the SerialTest app using this command.
flatpak run io.github.wh201906.serialtest
And uninstall SerialTest app using this command.
sudo flatpak uninstall io.github.wh201906.serialtest
That’s it.
