RecApp Screen Recording Software – How to install RecApp on Ubuntu

RecApp is a free and open source simple to use desktop screen recording software for Linux. Using this you can record your pc screen. It uses GStreamer modules to record your screen. It is released under GNU General Public License v3.0 and written in Python.In this app you can set three different frame rates 15, 30 and 60, delay the recording, record the mouse cursor and audio from apps. You can record and save your output files in mp4, mkv and webm and also in high quality.

Install RecApp on Ubuntu

RecApp Screen Recording software is available as a flatpak package for Ubuntu. You need to install flatpak and flathub on your Ubuntu first. Follow below link for the flatpak and flathub installation tutorial. If your already installed then skip this.

How to install flatpak and flathub on Ubuntu

After the installation, restart your pc and run this command to install RecApp Screen Recording application.

flatpak install flathub com.github.amikha1lov.RecApp

You can open the RecApp Screen Recording software via below command in terminal.

flatpak run com.github.amikha1lov.RecApp

Now you have a very good easy to use simple recording app.
