QR Reader is a free and open source QR code scanner and QR code generator application for Linux and Android. It is written in dart. In this app you can browse the qr code and scan it. You can also generate qr codes for link and text. You can set the error correction level, dense of the qr code, rounded corner in your core and many more. It is a simple and easy to use application.
Install QR Reader on Ubuntu Linux
QR Reader is available as a flatpak package from flathub. If you don’t have then install flatpak and flathub on your system and restart it after the installation.
Install flatpak and flathub on Ubuntu
Open the terminal application (ctrl+alt+t) and run below QR Reader flatpak installation command. It will install the latest version of QR Reader on your system.
flatpak install flathub dev.lasheen.qr
And open the QR Reader app using below command or via show applications menu.
flatpak run dev.lasheen.qr
And uninstall QR Reader via below command.
sudo flatpak uninstall dev.lasheen.qr
Install QR Reader via Snap:
Open the terminal and run below QR Reader snap install command.
sudo snap install qr-scanner --candidate
