Ludusavi – Backing Up Game Save Data

Ludusavi is a free and open source Rust-based tool, provides an efficient solution for PC Gamers to backup their saved game data. This cross-platform tool supports multiple game stores and offers an array of features to cater to gamer’s needs.


You can back up data from over 10,000 games, along with custom entries. It supports Steam as well as other game libraries and come with preview option to review backups/restores before performing the action, command-line interfaces (CLI) for scripting, tab completion feature for Bash, Fish, Zsh, PowerShell, and Elvish.

How to install Ludusavi on Ubuntu Linux

Ludusavi is available as a flatpak from the remote flathub. If you don’t have then install flatpak and flathub on your system and restart it after the installation.

Open the terminal application using ctrl+alt+t keys and run below Ludusavi flatpak install command. It will install the latest version of Ludusavi on your system.

flatpak install flathub com.github.mtkennerly.ludusavi

And open Ludusavi using this command.

flatpak run com.github.mtkennerly.ludusavi

And uninstall it via

sudo flatpak uninstall com.github.mtkennerly.ludusavi
