KolourPaint is a free and open source paint software for Linux. Using KolourPaint, you can drawing and paint diagrams, editing screenshots and photos, apply effects, draw clip art and logos. It comes with 500 levels of history undo, transparency support, Opaque and Transparent selections, Color Picker, Eraser, Flood Fill, Line, Pen, Polygon, add text, Spraycan, monochrome and more.
How to Install KolourPaint on Ubuntu Linux
KolourPaint is available as a snap and flatpak package files. In the terminal command line app (ctrl+alt+t) run below KolourPaint snap install command. It will install the latest KolourPaint on your Ubuntu Linux system.
sudo snap install kolourpaint
After the successful installation of KolourPaint, you can open it using below command. You can also open it using the show applications menu.
kolourpaint
And uninstall KolourPaint using below command.
sudo snap remove kolourpaint
Install KolourPaint via Flatpak:
You need to install the latest version of flatpak and flathub on your system first and restart it after the installation.
Now open the terminal app and run below KolourPaint flatpak install command.
flatpak install flathub org.kde.kolourpaint
After that open the KolourPaint app using below command.
flatpak run org.kde.kolourpaint
And uninstall KolourPaint using below command.
sudo flatpak uninstall org.kde.kolourpaint
