How to install Xonotic shooter game on Ubuntu

Xonotic is a free open source and first-person arena shooter game for Linux, Windows and Mac OS. It is released under the copyleft-style GPLv3+ license. It comes with 9 core weapons and 16 full weapons in its armory, different variety of game modes like Deathmatch, Capture The Flag, and Clan Arena, 25 official maps with in build map editor, ntegrated player statistics, and some good graphics.

Install Xonotic on Ubuntu

Xonotic first-person shooter is available as a snap package for Ubuntu. You can install Xonotic via your Ubuntu terminal app. Open your terminal app and type the below command and hit the enter key.

sudo snap install xonotic

Then type your Ubuntu Password and hit enter. It will install the latest stable version of Xonotic first-person shooter on Ubuntu.

After the installation of Xonotic first-person shooter, click the show applications in the Ubuntu Gnome dock and type Xonotic in the search box and click Xonotic to open it. For Unity you can search Xonotic from Ubuntu dash.
