How to install Vimix Live Video Mixing on Ubuntu

Vimix is a free and open source live Video mixing application for Linux and MacOS. It is released under GNU General Public License v3.0. Using this tool you can do graphical mixing and blending of several movie clips and computer generated graphics, with image processing effects in real-time. You can adject the image opacity and shape in the live mixing to produce live graphics. It is best mixing tool for concerts and VJ-ing sessions.It is a successor of the popular GLMixer. It is still in beta and early development stage.

Install Vimix on Ubuntu

Vimix is available via the snap package on Ubuntu. Open the terminal software (ctrl+alt+t) and run this vimix snap installation command.

sudo snap install vimix

Enter your ubuntu user password if needed. After the installation you can run vimix with this command.

vimix

Note: Currently it is not a fully finished product. But you can try its features.
