How to Install Fedora Media Writer on Ubuntu Linux

Fedora Media Writer is a free and open source live USB drive creator application for Linux, Windows and MacOS. Using Fedora Media Writer you can download create fedora bootable live USB drives. Not only fedora also other live USb drives from any ISO files. Currently it supports official fedora Server and Workstation editions, KDE Plasma Desktop, Xfce Desktop, Cinnamon Desktop Fedora spins and Fedora Labs images. It is released under GNU General Public License v2.0.

Install Fedora Media Writer on Ubuntu

Fedora Media Writer is available as a flatpak package file from the remote flathub. Install flatpak and flathub using below link and restart your system after the flatpak installation.

How to install flatpak and flathub

Now in your terminal command -line app (open using ctrl+alt+k keys) run below Fedora Media Writer flatpak installation command.

flatpak install flathub org.fedoraproject.MediaWriter

It will install the latest version of Fedora Media Writer on your system. Now start Fedora Media Writer using below command.

flatpak run org.fedoraproject.MediaWriter

And you can also uninstall it via below command.

sudo flatpak uninstall org.fedoraproject.MediaWriter
