GMetronome is a free and open source tempo measurement application for Linux. Using GMetronome app, you can maintain your tempo while practicing your instrument. It is released under GNU General Public License v3.0. It is a very useful tool for composers and musicians. It comes with different audio back-end support, keyboard shortcuts, music profiles, trainer, Integrated synthesizer, accentuation levels, divisible beats, set tempo range and more.
How to Install GMetronome on Ubuntu Linux
You can install GMetronome via flatpak from the remote flathub. If you don’t have then install flatpak and flathub on your system first and restart it after the installation.
Open the terminal console app (ctrl+alt+t) and run GMetronome flatpak install command. It will install the latest version of GMetronome on your Ubuntu system.
flatpak install flathub org.gnome.gitlab.dqpb.GMetronome
After the installation, you can open GMetronome using below command.
flatpak run org.gnome.gitlab.dqpb.GMetronome
And uninstall GMetronome using below command.
sudo flatpak uninstall org.gnome.gitlab.dqpb.GMetronome
