gCAD3D CAD CAM Software

gCAD3D is a free and open source #D CAD CAM application for Linux and Windows. It comes with 3D-OpenGL viewer, program interpreter and NC processor. You can import and export files in Step, Iges, VRML, DXF, SVG formats. It supports geometry and NC commands in 3D and programming interface for userprograms and RemoteControl. It is released under GNU General Public License v3.

How to Install gCAD3D on Ubuntu Linux

gCAD3D is available as a native .deb package file from the above download link and save it on your Downloads folder. Here the downloaded file name is “gCAD3D-2.50.00-bin-amd64.deb”. You can change the below command based on your downloaded file name.

Open the terminal command line application (ctrl+alt+t) and run below apt gCAD3D install command.

sudo apt install ./Downloads/gCAD3D*.deb

[OR]

sudo apt install ./Downloads/gCAD3D-2.50.00-bin-amd64.deb

After the installation start gCAD3D application using this command.
