OpenToonz is a free and open source 2D animation software for Windows, MacOS and Linux. It is based on Toonz. It is released under BSD 3-Clause “New” or “Revised” License. It comes with the GTS scanning tool for specializing in animation and Effects development kit. Using the effects SDK you can add any effects to OpenToonz application. It is a powerful animation application with many useful features.
Install OpenToonz on Ubuntu Linux
OpenToonz is available as a snap package for Linux. You can easily install it via the terminal application. Open the terminal command line application. You can open it from the show applications list or via ctrl+alt+t keys. After that run below OpenToonz snap installation command.
sudo snap install opentoonz
You can open it by
opentoonz
that’s it.
