Google is celebrating 2012 london olympic with a female diver in position for the plunge on the diving board over a pool doodle on its homepage.
Diving at the 2012 Summer Olympics is scheduled to take place from 29 July to 11 August 2012 at the London Aquatics Centre in London, UK.It is one of 4 Aquatics disciplines at the Games, along with Swimming, Water Polo and Synchronized Swimming.The 2012 Olympics will feature competition in 8 events (Men and Women events each of): 3 metre springboard, synchronized 3 metre springboard, 10 metre platform, and synchronized 10 metre platform.All divers must be at least 14 years-old on or by 31 December 2012.

London 2012 archery google doodle

Google is celebrating 2012 london olympic with a new archery doodle on its homepage.
Archery had its debut at the 1900 Summer Olympics and has been contested in 14 Olympiads. 83 different nations have appeared in the Olympic archery competitions, with France appearing the most often at 11 times. It is governed by the International Archery Federation (FITA).

Amelia Earhart’s 115th birthday google doodle

Google is celebrating Amelia Earhart’s 115th birthday with Amelia Earhart and Lockheed Vega 5B monoplane on its homepage.

Amelia Mary Earhart (July 24, 1897 – disappeared 1937) was a noted American aviation pioneer and author. Earhart was the first aviatrix to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. She received the U.S. Distinguished Flying Cross for this record.During an attempt to make a circumnavigational flight of the globe in 1937 in a Purdue-funded Lockheed Model 10 Electra, Earhart disappeared over the central Pacific Ocean near Howland Island.
