Thunderbird 38.0.1 released with lots of new features and fixes

Thunderbird 38.0.1 is now available for download.Thunderbird 38.0.1 contains underlying code that is based off of Firefox 38.0.1esr. There was no Thunderbird 38.0 release. What’s new in this release?

Disable CONDSTORE support for IMAP to prevent discrepancies in IMAP message status (deleted, unread) on
some servers
Make OpenSearch queries open in the user’s default browser
Default to using SSL for XMPP and IRC. This might cause issues for self-signed certificates

Download Android M Developer Preview

Google has announced Android M Developer Preview of its Android operating system. And said that the central theme of M is on improving the core user experience of Android. Android M developer preview comes with some improved android permissions features. It allows users to control the app permissions this release. Now apps needs to trigger requests for permissions at run time only. Also google added the App links feature. Using this you can add an auto Verify attribute to your app manifest so that users can be linked deep into your native app without any prompt. Now users can discover your apps easily with App links, along with App Indexing in Google search. This release also adds Battery Doze. Using this Android devices smarter about managing power.
