Carburetor Onion Routing TOR Application

Carburetor is a free and open source Onion Routing TOR application for Linux. It is a graphical UI settings app for tractor application. It provides a connection through the onion proxy and sets up proxy in user session. Using this application you can easily connect to The Onion Router (TOR). You can easily change new ID, check connection status and also set the exit TOR country, configure ports and bridges.

How to Install Carburetor TOR on Ubuntu

Carburetor TOR app is available as a flatpak package from the flathub store. To install it, open the terminal application and run below Carburetor flatpak install command. It will install the latest version of Carburetor app on your system.

flatpak install flathub io.frama.tractor.carburetor

You can start this application using below command or via the Show Apps menu application.

flatpak run io.frama.tractor.carburetor

Note: If you don’t already have flatpak and flathub installed,then install them on your system using the commands provided below. After the installation, restart your system.

sudo apt install flatpak
flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo

And you can also uninstall Carburetor app using below commands.

flatpak uninstall io.frama.tractor.carburetor

[OR]

sudo flatpak uninstall io.frama.tractor.carburetor
