Tropy is a free and open source photo management application for Linux, Windows and MacOS. Using Tropy, you can easily manage your research related images. It comes with meta data management and basic image editing, tags and lists to organize your research items, Photo annotation, export your files to JSON?LD, CSV and many more, plugins support and many image file format support.
How to Install Tropy Research photo management app on Ubuntu
To install Tropy on your system, first install flatpak and flathub on your system and restart it after the installation. Follow below commands it don’t have them.
sudo apt install flatpak
flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
After that open the terminal app (ctrl+alt+t) and run below Tropy flatpak install command. It will install the latest version of Tropy on your system.
flatpak install flathub org.tropy.Tropy
And open the Tropy app using below command.
flatpak run org.tropy.Tropy
And uninstall it using below commands.
flatpak uninstall org.tropy.Tropy
