Melody is a free and open source music player for Linux. Using Melody you can play your local music files, audio CD and listen online radios. It comes with ID3-Tag support and you can manage your MTP device and playlists, filter by albums, artists and tracks. It is written in Vala and released under The GNU General Public License v3.0. Some other important features are automatics covers from MusicBrainz.
How to Install Melody Music Player on Ubuntu Linux
Melody is available from remote flathub as a flatpak package, Before installing this you need to install flatpak and flathub on your system. After that restart it.
Now open the terminal software using ctrl+alt+t keys and run below Melody media player flatpak install command. It will install the latest version of Melody on your system.
flatpak install flathub com.github.artemanufrij.playmymusic
After the run below command to open Melody app.
flatpak run com.github.artemanufrij.playmymusic
If you don’t like it then uninstall Melody app using
sudo flatpak uninstall com.github.artemanufrij.playmymusic
