Track Time Spent on Task with Furtherance

Furtherance is a free and open source time tracking application for Linux. Using Furtherance you can add track time task entry, edit that time, delete task entries. It is released under the GNU General Public License v3 and written in Rust and based on GTK4. In this app you can also group the task by name and date, edit the task name, time, and date. It also comes with dark mode, notify of idle and limit the tasks shown.

Install Furtherance on Ubuntu Linux

Furtherance is available as flatpak package from remote flathub. First you need to install flatpak and flathub on your system and restart after the installation. Now in your terminal command-line app run below Furtherance flatpak installation. It will install the latest version of Furtherance.

flatpak install flathub com.lakoliu.Furtherance

You can start Furtherance app using below command or via the applications menu. Just name your task and press the start button and now do your work and stop after complete.

flatpak run com.lakoliu.Furtherance

You can uninstall it via below command.

sudo flatpak uninstall com.lakoliu.Furtherance
