Ferdi – Access All Messaging and Chat Services in one Application

Ferdi is a free and open source messaging client application for Linux, Windows and MacOS. Using Ferdi app, you can access all your messaging services in one place. It comes with more than 210 built-in services support, password lock, custom servers support, service hibernation to avoid high resource usage, You can use this app without a Ferdi account, Ferdi todos service, quick switch, private notification, cloud sync, different Workspaces for different roles, unlimited accounts support and Proxy support. It is based on franz and released under Apache License 2.0.

Download Ferdi [Windows, MacOS, Linux]

Install Ferdi on Ubuntu Linux

Ferdi is available as a portable .AppImage, native .deb and in snap package files. Download Ferdi in .AppImage file format from the above download link and save it on your Downloads folder. Open the terminal app (ctrl+alt+t) and run below commands run Ferdi. Here “Ferdi-5.6.2.AppImage” is the downloaded file name. you can change the below commands based on your downloaded file name.

cd Downloads
sudo chmod +x ~ Ferdi-5.6.2.AppImage
./Ferdi-5.6.2.AppImage

Install Ferdi via Snap:

You can also install it via snap package. In terminal run below command.

sudo snap install ferdi

After the installation open it via applications menu. You can uninstall it via

sudo snap remove ferdi

Install Ferdi via DEB:

Download Ferdi in .deb package file from the top above Ferdi Download link and save it on your Downloads folder. Open the terminal application and run below command to install it. Here “ferdi_5.6.2_amd64.deb” is the downloaded file name. You can change based on your downloaded files name.

sudo apt install ./Download/ferdi*.deb

[OR]

sudo apt install ./Download/ferdi_5.6.2_amd64.deb
