How to install AnimationMaker on Ubuntu

AnimationMaker is a free and open source animation software for Linux. Using this you can create animated presentations in simple and easy way. You can export your animation in mpg, mp4, avi video format and in animated gif, XML file and GSAP, SVG to include in html documents. It is inspired by Adobe Edge html animation software. It comes with timeline and keyframes support to create your animation. It looks like simple animator but useful one. Follow the below steps to install it on Ubuntu.

Download AnimationMaker

Install AnimationMaker on Ubuntu

Go to the above download link and download the latest AnimationMaker in native .deb package file on your Ubuntu system. Save it on your Downloads folder. Now open the terminal application (ctrl+alt+t) and run below AnimationMaker apt install command. You can change below commands in this tutorial based on your downloaded file name and path.

sudo apt install ./Downloads/animationmaker_1.9.2_amd64.deb

[OR]

sudo apt install ./Downloads/animationmaker*.deb

Note: Here the downloaded file name is “animationmaker_1.9.2_amd64.deb”.

After the installation, you can start it using below command or via Show Apps button from the Ubuntu dock application menu.
